ffaaker is a street artist based in Tehran who paints one idea across the city: kindness. What began as a kid splashing paint on walls became a lifelong practice of turning neglected doors and public surfaces into small seeds of affection — a flower, a running figure, the word "kindness" itself — meant to stop a passerby for two seconds and spark a smile. His audience isn't a gallery; it's everyone, and for him the artist is simply part of the work. He moves through the city on a fixie bike with no gears and no brakes, and the metaphor is deliberate: keep pedaling, keep flowing, find a way through whatever comes. Even his name is a reminder not to take his own thoughts — or himself — too seriously; the street, he says, teaches you exactly that. Fear is part of the practice, and he does it anyway, whether it means tiny stickers in crowded corners or twenty meters of wall in the middle of Vali Asr Street. Working through the years of protest and the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement, ffaaker came to see the gap between people as something to be filled with empathy rather than force. When the city whitewashes his murals, he treats the blank wall as a fresh canvas and a measure of how far he's come. Drawn from an old poem, his conviction is simple and unwavering: change starts small, we are all human, and after everything, only kindness and love remain.
